Community Guidelines

Every member deserves to be heard without judgment. Disagreement is welcome; contempt is not. Speak to other members as you would wish to be spoken to.

Nothing shared here is to be shared outside. Do not screenshot, quote, or forward another member’s posts. Do not share identifying information about anyone — a member, a surgeon, a clinic — without their consent.

You are welcome to share your story, your questions, and what you have learned. Please do not present personal experience as medical guidance for another member. When in doubt, encourage others to speak with a qualified professional.

• Harassment, bullying, or personal attacks of any kind.
• Discrimination on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, disability, or body.
• Misinformation about medical procedures, providers, or outcomes.
• Solicitation, promotion of practices or products, affiliate links, or advertising.
• Spam or repetitive off-topic content.
• Sharing another member’s private information without consent.
• Content that is sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise unsafe.

Our moderators read every report with care. Depending on the situation, we may edit or remove a post, message a member privately, issue a warning, or — in serious cases — close an account. Where a conversation is heated but honest, we prefer to guide rather than silence.
